Seminars/ courses of instruction

The seminar “Sentinel-Haus® Concept” is the basis for the job as SHI consultant.

The requirements to become a Sentinel-Haus® consultant:

  • Graduate engineer or master builder
  • Completion of all three days of the seminar “Sentinel-Haus® Concept”
  • Sit in at a course of instruction for tradesmen (free)
  • Participation in a basic seminar about the sealing of the building envelope with e.g. the company 'proclima', or at a comparable seminar like "Moulds Fungus in Interior Spaces"
  • Participation in at least one workshop on environmentally compatible building materials with the emphasis on indoor air pollution/ harmful substances, preferably at IBN (Institute of Building Biology & Ecology Neubeuern) or at the VDB (a German trade organisation of construction biologists)

Sentinel-Haus Institut primarily seeks to bear and impart knowledge on healthy constructing and restoration. To make this knowledge available, SHI developed a seminar programme which is constantly improved and completed with the help of symposia (cf. www.gesundes-wohnen.eu) among other things.

The seminar programme about health aspects in house building and renovation is structured in lectures of  60/ 90 minutes as an introduction to the topic, courses of instruction for tradesmen of 4-6 hours on the realisation at the construction site, and the seminar “Sentinel-Haus® Concept” of three days.

After one year of test runs, the contents were revised and the matter was further developed with the focus on clear educational objectives.

The three days of the seminar “Sentinel-Haus® Concept” are also bookable separately.

Title and duration:

Day 1: 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.: What is healthy construction?
Day 2: 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.: The realisation of the construction and planning of healthy housing
Day 3: 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.: Communication and the law with respect to healthy construction


Participation fees:

The participation fee for all three days is €930
The participation fee for two days is €700
The participation fee for one day is €390
