Sentinel-Haus Concept was developed for practical use. Due to this claim, Sentinel-Haus Institut decided from the beginning to work together cooperatively with the industry to provide the low-pollution construction business with as many products as possible in as short a time as possible.

The manufacturers' products have to fulfil certain criteria before approval, i.e. the basics of health evaluation of indoor building products according to the 'Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik' (or DIBt) [1], which is concerned with the approval of interior building products, as well as the evaluation schemes of the Committee for Health-related Evaluation of Building Products (AgBB). In practical use these evaluations are supplemented by scientific studies as well as limit values of high-standard quality labels such as the one of eco-INSTITUT, Cologne [2] or – for building materials from renewable or mineral resources – the Issuance Guidelines of the 'Internationaler Verein für zukunftsfähiges Bauen und Wohnen natureplus e.V' (International Association for future-oriented building and accommodation - natureplus e.V.) [3].
